03/04/2011: Christian Dior @ Paris FW 2011

FANTASTIC show. After Galliano's been fired there was a risk that everyone would have talked just about the gossip and not about the show. But this collection has left everybody agape, both for the quality and the variety of the outfits. As material the french maison chose fur, satin, cotton and many others. Summing up the palette used by Dior we can find different nuances of blue, of red (burgundy, magenta), military green, black, even flame red and white with some grey appearances. The show starts with sophisticated even if classical outits, and then shades off into almost basic outfits with soft and lightweight lines, that seem to fly on the catwalk. One of the seasonal trends is confirmed, and that's the see-through used this time in dresses, both black and white. As shoes we've seen glam rock inspired boots but also military ankle boots.

Sfilata FANTASTICA. Dopo il licenziamento di Galliano c'era il rischio che non si notasse la collezione di Dior e si continuasse con le chiacchiere riguardo lo stilista. Ma questa collezione ha lasciato tutti a bocca aperta, sia per la qualità che per la varietà dei look. Come materiali la maison francese ha scelto pelliccia, satin, cotone e molti altri. Riassumendo la palette cromatica usata da Dior si possono individuare varie tonalità di blu, di rosso (magenta, bordeaux), verde militare, nero, passando addirittura per rosso vivo e bianco con qualche comparsa di grigio. La sfilata inizia con look sofisticati e classicheggianti, per sfumare poi in look quasi basici dalle linee più dolci e leggere, che sembrano volare sulla passerella. Si conferma uno dei trend stagionali, ovvero il see-through dei vestiti trasparenti, sia in bianco che in nero. Come scarpe si sono visti stivali ispirati al glam rock ma anche stivali alla caviglia "militari"
